Service Project Dinner: This is a new tradition in our family where just the adults gather together and do a service project. This year we gathered supplies for "The Road Home', a local homeless shelter. We tied fleece blankets together and donated them along with all our collected supplies and dropped it off at the shelter. We were able to gather so many things it took both me and Dawn to deliver it all! Thanks to everyone again for giving! We also had a dinner at my house, which was REALLY big for me because it was the first time I got to use the china I inherited from my Grandma Cowser, who passed away a few years ago now. It had been sitting in my parents basement for years and every time I went overe there Id sneak down and peek at it. It is so beautiful. My Grandma served apostles and prophets on their visits to Europe on those plates. I almost peed bringing them home!
Girls Tea Party: Aimee and mom hosted the tea party this year and HOLY COW, yum! We ate until it was coming out our ears! On the menu: cucumber sandwiches, deviled eggs, hot cocoa, chocolate croissants, eclairs, pie pastries, and SO much more. Jealous?
Temple Square: This years Temple Square trip was MUCH better than last years, One, we didnt go on the Monday night before Christmas, and two it wasnt below freezing like last year. It was really fun to package Ry up in her snowsuit, she may have been a little TOO warm, but better safe than sorry, right dad?
The Christmas Nativity Story: Every year we reinact the nativity story. Its so much fun to dress up all the grandkids and some willing adults. We only had a little drama with who got to be Mary and having enough angel costumes.
