Our ward must really like us because they asked us to put in a blurb about ourselves in the ward newsletter. The funny thing is, its only been 6 months since we last wrote something about ourselves for the newsletter, but they must have forgotten. Here it is anyway...
Ben and Shera grew up in Utah Valley and met up at Utah State University their freshman year. Ben was a skateboarder/snowboarder and Shera was the artist/musician. Shera's first impression of Ben was that he was a slacker and Ben thought Shera was stuck up. Needless to say, 2 years later, they eloped in Reno, Nevada, where they spent their first 4 years of marriage working and going to school. They moved back to Utah when Ben got accepted to the University of Utah to finish up his Masters in chemical engineering. Shera was overjoyed to be closer to family again! Last year they spent their 5 year anniversary in Puerto Vallarta, had thier 25th birthdays (which are 2 days apart) and moved to beautiful Alpine Utah! Ben is currently working towards his PhD in chemical engineering, working for IM Flash Technologies and trying not to kill himself on the weekends either snowboarding or rockclimbing. Shera is finishing up her degree in graphic design, trying to keep her husband alive, and working on growing their first baby. They are both looking forward to all the adventures of parenthood and are also scared to death of what is to come!
